I tried to cancel my subscription with gotomypc, but sadly, they wouldn’t give me a refund for the 7 months I haven’t used, which is about $700. It’s really disappointing to witness a company like this taking advantage of folks.

For the last 10 years, I’ve been a happy user of GoToMyPC. But recently, I started facing some connectivity problems. Just last week, I spent an hour with tech support trying to fix it, and they suggested uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Sadly, the same issue came back over the weekend. I reached out to tech support again and was on the line for 40 minutes. They told me to uninstall and reinstall yet again, mentioning they were having launcher issues with no clear fix in sight. Frustrated, I asked to cancel my account. They took care of it quickly and refunded me for the 6 months I hadn’t used. I’m really let down by this whole situation. Given that it costs $420 a year, you’d think they’d make sure everything runs smoothly.

Last week, I spent an hour with tech support who attempted to resolve the problem by uninstalling and reinstalling the software. Unfortunately, the same issue persisted over the weekend. I called tech support again and spent 40 minutes with them. Essentially, they advised me to uninstall and reinstall once more, explaining that they were experiencing launcher problems with no specific resolution date. Frustrated, I requested to be transferred to cancel my account. They promptly cancelled it and refunded the remaining 6 months that I had not used. I am very disappointed with this experience. Considering the annual cost of $420, one would expect them to ensure smooth operation.

"Customer service and policies are a total nightmare."
This company's customer service and policies are a total nightmare. Even though I cancelled my subscription over a month back, I found out they were still taking money from me. I called them right away to sort it out, but they told me my cancellation wasn’t processed. After digging through my emails, I couldn’t find any proof of my cancellation, which left me in a really frustrating spot where it’s basically my word against theirs. I asked for a refund for the payment that hit my account just two days ago, but they told me their policy doesn’t allow refunds, no matter what the situation is. I really urge folks to be careful because this company seems to be up to some shady business.

The policies and customer service of this company are absolutely dreadful. Despite cancelling my subscription over a month ago, I discovered that they were still charging me. I promptly called them to address the issue, only to be informed that my cancellation had not been processed. After thoroughly searching through my emails, I couldn't find any evidence to support my claim of cancellation, leaving me in a frustrating situation where it's my word against theirs. I requested a refund for the recent payment that was charged just two days ago, but was met with a response stating that their policy does not allow for any refunds, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the cancellation. I strongly advise everyone to be cautious as this company appears to be engaging in fraudulent practices.

I chose to end my subscription, but they charged me for the renewal regardless. Getting a hold of their customer service has been a real struggle. This entire situation has been just awful.

"Support is lacking and costs are way too high."
The assistance we get is really lacking and the costs are just too steep! I highly suggest looking into other options like Splashtop. Right now, we have 25 desktops and are shelling out $1000 each month, but we get zero support in return. As a result, we're slowly moving all our systems to another desktop solution.

"A Troubling Experience with a Disturbing Company"
I recently had a really unsettling run-in with a company that left me feeling quite disturbed. Right from the start, it was clear their practices were anything but ethical.
To begin with, their customer service was just awful. The reps I spoke to showed zero empathy and seemed to enjoy my frustration. It felt like they were deliberately trying to get under my skin, which was just infuriating.
Just like many others have said, this company with questionable ethics makes it nearly impossible to cancel their service, and they won’t give prorated refunds even if you’ve paid for a year or more and are unhappy. Plus, as others have noted, their tech support is just plain terrible.
I strongly recommend steering clear of LogMeIn's services, including GoToMyPC.

I tried to get my subscription canceled, but sadly, there wasn’t any way to do it online. So, I had to ring up customer service to sort it out. Unfortunately, I found myself on hold for a maddening 40 minutes. To top it off, the hold music was just plain awful and really brought me down. If I could, I’d give this whole experience a negative star.

"Technical support is just plain terrible."
This tool can be super handy when it’s working right. But if you need to reach out to their tech support, brace yourself for a truly awful time. I spent a ridiculous 1 hour and 25 minutes just trying to get someone on the line, and when I finally did, the rep seemed totally uninterested. They didn’t even ask for my login details, just brushed off my problem as 'system maintenance,' even though I had already confirmed that wasn’t the issue. To top it all off, the tool is still acting up, and I’m now on my second call, waiting for a reply for an unbelievable 33 minutes. I really wouldn’t recommend their services; you might want to look into other options.

"The technical support provided is absolutely appalling."
When the tool is functioning properly, it proves to be incredibly useful. However, if you ever find yourself in need of contacting their technical support, be prepared for an absolutely dreadful experience. It took me a whopping 1 hour and 25 minutes just to get through to someone, and when I finally did, the person I spoke to seemed completely disinterested. They didn't even bother asking for my login information, simply dismissing the issue as "system maintenance," despite my prior confirmation that it wasn't the case. To make matters worse, the tool still isn't working, and I'm currently on my second call, waiting for a response for a staggering 33 minutes. I strongly advise against using their services and suggest exploring alternative packages instead.

I ran a quick test with teamviewer to check out this product. After that, I tried to remove my account, but they insist you have to call them to get it done. I opted out of that. Honestly, I used an email I’m about to get rid of for the same reason - to stick to GDPR rules. But it looks like this product doesn’t follow GDPR at all, and it might even draw in spammers.

"The hike in prices is a total scam. No way to cancel."
This business is a total scam with their price hike that I didn't catch for months. To make matters worse, there's no option to cancel online, and I had to suffer through an international call on hold forever. I really recommend steering clear of this bunch!

"This company is seriously unethical and totally ignores customer needs."
I've been a user of GoToMyPC for a long while now, probably over ten years. On March 17th, I attempted to cancel my subscription but couldn't locate any option for that or even a contact number to reach out to.
I thought removing the PCs from my account would do the trick, but to my shock, they kept charging me $105 each month for the subscription. They really make it tough to cancel and even block you from deleting your card info unless you add another card for them to charge. When I finally managed to find a number to voice my concerns, they just pointed me to their terms and conditions, saying I had to call to cancel, and so on.
In my view, it's downright unethical to create terms that make it super hard for customers to cancel. To top it off, when I checked Trustpilot, I found out I'm not alone in my complaints! My suggestion? Steer clear of this service.
